AGENDA Notice of Work Session & Regular Newport Development Commission Meeting

The Newport Development Commission of the City of Newport will hold a work session beginning at 8:30 a.m., which will entail a driving tour of the South Beach area (gathering at City Hall back parking lot), and a regular meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m., on March 14, 2007, at the Newport City Hall, Naterlin Council Chambers, 169 S.W. Coast Hwy., Newport, OR 97365. A copy of the meeting agenda follows.

The meeting location is accessible to persons with disabilities. A request for an interpreter for the hearing impaired, or for other accommodations for persons with disabilities, should be made at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting to Peggy Hawker, City Recorder (541)574-0613.

The Commission reserves the right to add or delete items as needed and to discuss any other business deemed necessary at the time of the meeting.

V. Unfinished Business.

A. Update on the 4B South Beach Storm Drainage Project.

B. Approval of 7-year extension of Agreement with the Whaler Motel, John & Joanne Clark, Owners.

C. Consideration of request from OCCC and Landwaves Inc. for funding of a portion of S.E. 40^th Street, and funding of Hwy. 101 and S.E. 40^th intersection street improvements.

VI. New Business.

A. Power point Presentation by Hatfield Marine Science Center staff on their Master Plan.

B. Consideration of joint work session with Council for March 19^th, at 5:00

p.m.

C. Request from Joyce Gaffin to rock and grade S.W. Brant Street from

S.W. 29^th to S.W. 30^th Street in South Beach.
