Anyone who would like to address the Planning Commission on any matter
not on the agenda will be given the opportunity after signing the Roster. Each speaker should limit comments to three
minutes. The normal disposition of these
items will be at the next scheduled Planning Commission meeting.

1. File No. 11-VAR-06. Request submitted by Kim and Cindy Clark for approval of a reauthorization of
a Type I Variance to the following
sections of the Newport Zoning Ordinance (NZO) (No. 1308, as amended): 1) Section 2-3-2.005/"Required
Yards" to allow a variance of 10 feet from the 15 foot front yard setback
requirement; and 2) Section 2-3-2.015/"Garage Setback" to allow a
variance of 15 feet from the required 20 foot garage setback. The subject property is located in an
R-1/"Low Density Single-Family Residential" zoning district at

(Larry Millis, authorized representative) for approval of a Type I variance to
the following sections of the Newport Zoning Ordinance (NZO) (No. 1308, as
amended): 1) Section
2-3-2.005/"Required Yards" to allow a variance of 5 feet from the
10-foot rear yard setback requirement (a variance of 50%) and a variance of 15
feet from the 15-foot front yard setback requirement (a variance of 100%); and
2) Section 2-3-2.015/"Garage Setback" to allow a variance of 20 feet
from the required 20-foot garage setback (a variance of 100%). The subject property is located in an
R-4/"High Density Multi-Family Residential" zoning district on

Glasgow (Eusebio Nava, property owner) for approval of a Type I variance to
Section 2-3-2.005/"Required Yards" of the Newport Zoning Ordinance
(NZO) (No. 1308, as amended) to allow a variance to the front yard setback
requirement to allow a front yard to be 6.5 feet at the narrowest point due to
the irregular shape and size of the lot.
The subject property is located in an R-1/"Low Density
Single-Family Residential" zoning district at the corner of NE Avery St
and Hwy 101 (Lincoln County Assessor’s Tax Map 10-11-20-CB; Tax Lot 117).

NOTE:
A public
hearing on File No. 8-PLA-06/10-VAR-06-A was originally noticed as being
scheduled for this meeting. Following
notice, written requests were received
from both the applicants (Katharine Ramsey and William Brusselback and Tara
Picken) and the appellants (Robert & Cheryl Connell) in the matter asking
for up to sixty days postponement of the de
novo public hearing to consider the appeal of the decision of the Community
Development Director by Final Orders approving File No. 8-PLA-06 (property line
adjustment approval) and File No. 10-VAR-06 (Type II Variance approval)
involving property located at 429 & 437 SW 5th Street (Tax Lots
1200 & 1300 of the Lincoln County Tax Assessor’s Map 11-11-08-BD; Lots 10
& 11, Block 63, CASE & BAYLEY’S SECOND ADDITION). Therefore, the de novo public hearing on File No. 8-PLA-06/10-VAR-06-A that was previously
scheduled for tonight will be rescheduled for the April 9, 2007, Planning
Commission meeting and has subsequently been renoticed for the
April 9, 2007, meeting.
