January 23, 2006— Informational session and Planning Commission public hearing on proposed amendment to the Economic Section of Newport Comprehensive Plan

 

April 17, 2006— City Council public hearing on the proposed amendment to the Economic Section of the Newport Comprehensive Plan

 

June 12, 2006— Planning Commission Work Session/Open House on the South Beach Neighborhood Plan. Please Note: The session will begin at 6:30pm at the Hennings Auditorium of the Hatfield Marine Science Center, located at 2030 SW Marine Science Drive

 

June 26, 2006— Planning Commission workshop beginning at 5:30pm at City Hall with a site visit to the South Beach area and the property proposed to be added to the UGB

           -AND-

June 26, 2006– Planning Commission public hearing on the South Beach Neighborhood Plan beginning at 7:30pm at the Council Chambers of Newport City Hall following the 5:30pm workshop and site visit

 

July 10, 2006—Planning Commission meeting with continued public hearing on the South Beach Neighborhood Plan amendments beginning at 7:00pm at the Council Chambers of Newport City Hall

 

August 7, 2006—City Council work session on the South Beach Urban Growth Boundary Addition and proposed Oregon Coast Community College site. Please Note: The work session will begin at 12pm (noon) at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, 5525 S.E. 50th Place in the South Beach neighborhood of Newport and will include a riding and/or walking tour of the site in question

 

August 21, 2006—City Council public hearing on the South Beach Neighborhood Plan beginning at 7:00pm at the Council Chambers of Newport City Hall

 

October 2, 2006-Continued City Council Public Hearing on the South Beach Neighborhood Plan beginning at 7:00 pm at the Council Chambers

 

October 16th, 2006-Continued City Council Public Hearing on the South Beach Neighborhood Plan beginning at 7:00 pm at the Council Chambers

 

November 20th, 2006— Continued City Council Public Hearing on the South Beach Neighborhood Plan beginning at 7:00 pm at the Council Chambers.

 

January 22nd, 2007—Lincoln County Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing on the proposed South Beach Neighborhood Plan UGB amendments at 7:30 pm at the Lincoln County Courthouse, Board of Commissioners Conference Room, East Entrance, 225 W. Olive Street, Newport.

 

April 9th, 2007— Newport Planning Commission will be holding a work session to review and discuss the implementation of adopted South Beach Neighborhood Plan Urban Design Concepts and General Urban Design Goals beginning at 6:00 pm in Conference Room “A” adjacent to the Newport City Council Chambers.

 

April 11th, 2007— Lincoln County Board of Commissioners will be holding a public hearing on the proposed South Beach Neighborhood Plan UGB amendments at 9:30am at the Lincoln County Courthouse, Board of Commissioners Meeting Room, 225 West Olive Street, Room 108, Newport.

 

April 23rd, 2007— Newport Planning Commission will be holding a work session on implementation of the adopted South Beach Neighborhood Plan Urban Design Concepts and General Urban Design Goals beginning at 6:00 pm in Conference Room “A” adjacent to the Newport City Council Chambers.

 

May 14, 2007— Newport Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing beginning at 7:00 pm in Newport City Council Chambers on the following related to the South Beach Neighborhood Plan: annexation/rezone/withdrawal of approximately 96.5 acres of property (File No. 1-AX-07/2-Z-07); the preliminary planned development plan approval of approximately 80 acres of property for the proposed South Beach Village Phase I (File No. 1-PD-07); and the final planned development plan approval for an approximately 25 acre portion of the proposed South Beach Village Phase I (File No. 2-PD-07) comprising the proposed Oregon Coast Community College central campus site.

 

June 4, 2007— City Council will be holding a public hearing regarding the annexation/rezone request involving the Emery Investment and

OCCC main campus property beginning at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers of Newport City Hall.

 

Planning Commission and/or City Council agendas for the meeting as applicable will be posted on the City website the week prior to the meeting date.
