NOTICE OF BUDGET COMMITTEE

MEETING

CITY OF NEWPORT

PROPOSED BUDGET & STATE SHARED REVENUES

 

           

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the City of Newport, Lincoln County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008, will be held at 169 SW Coast Highway, Newport City Hall, City Council Chambers, Newport, Oregon.  The meeting will take place on the 15th of May, 2007 (Tuesday) at 5:30 pm.  The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and receive public comment.

 

A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after May 1, 2007 at 169 SW Coast Highway, Finance Department, Newport, Oregon between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

 

This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place.  An additional Budget Committee meeting will be held on May 17, 2007 at 5:30 pm to take public comments. The Budget Committee will meet on May 24, 2007 at 5:30 pm, if necessary.  These meetings will also be held at Newport City Hall, Council Chambers.

 

A public hearing on State Shared Revenues will be held at the May 15, 2007 Budget Committee meeting.  The proposed uses of State Shared Revenues will be discussed.  Any person may submit oral or written comments concerning uses to which these funds may be used.

 

Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee.
