Donate Used American Flags

According to the US Flag Code, TITLE 4>CHAPTER 1>Sec. 8(k), "The flag, when no longer fit for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning."

Veterans receive a new flag for burial. But a new flag cannot be used for cremation. Bateman Funeral Home drapes old, donated flags over deceased veterans who ask for cremation. This is a dignified method to both dispose of your old flag and HONOR a veteran who does not get a flag.
