Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance workout that combines the benefits of working out with the fun of dancing.  This class will be taught by Shannon Rackowski who has more than 25 years of experience in the fitness industry.  Try your first class for free!

 

Stretch & Flex

That’s all it takes to maintain fitness!  Adults can sign up for our 10-week program and receive a free pedometer to track their progress.  Fitness Trainer Shannon Rackowski will give an introduction to “Walking for Fitness” on the first day and assist throughout the program.  Class is limited to 20 students.

 

Qigong (beginning Feb. 16)

Thursdays, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

Instructor: Tara Avery

Qigong is the ancient Chinese art of balancing mind, body and spirit through cultivating your Energy. The easy-to-do exercises combine movements with focused breathing and mental concentration. In this practice you can develop your own inner strength and create optimal health. Taught by Tara Avery who is a certified Medical Qigong Practitioner.

 

Pilates Mat Class

Mondays & Wednesdays,   5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Pilates is an exercise program that works the core muscles of the body (upper and lower back, abdominals and gluteus maximi) and can be modified for all bodies and abilities.  This class will increase your strength and flexibility, tone your major muscles, and even reduce or eliminate long-term aches such as lower back pain. 

 

 Power Plus

Mondays & Wednesdays    12:00 – 12:50 p.m.

Instructor:  Julia Clemons

 

This is a high-energy class designed to improve both anaerobic and aerobic capacity for a total body workout.  Cardio bursts of power are alternated with lower intensity cardiovascular and some muscle work to burn more calories, improve cardiovascular strength, and increase muscle conditioning.  All moves are shown with high- and low-impact options so that the intensity of the class may be adjusted to the participant's fitness level. Instructor Julia Clemons comes with 15 years experience.

 Power Sculpt

Tuesdays & Thursdays   12:00 – 12:50 p.m.

This is a muscle-conditioning class that will incorporate the use of weights, bands, fitness balls, and pilates-based exercises to tone and sculpt your entire body.  This class is great for all levels.  Moves will be incorporated to meet individual fitness needs. Instructor Julia Clemons comes with 15 years experience.

  

Cardio Dance

Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays   8:30 – 10:00 a.m.

Punch cards: $105/30 classes, $80/20 classes, $45/10 classes or $5.00 drop in

Instructor:  Mary Solomonson

 

Cardio Dance is a fun, high-energy class geared toward the intermediate to advanced-level student.  Get the benefits of a great cardio workout while dancing to motivating, upbeat music.  If you love music and dance, this is the program for you!  Muscle conditioning and floor work are included.  Come and try out your first class free. 

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Tuesdays & Thursdays    6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Ages 13 - 70

$25.00/month or $7.00 drop in

Instructor:  Jonathan Sparks

 

Multiple martial arts (MMA), grappling techniques, submission holds, and more will be taught during this two-hour class.  Jonathan Sparks is a former student of the Gracie Family and a black belt of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  For more information go to www.jitsu.biz or call 351-8007.  

Tae Kwon Do

Mondays & Wednesdays

Youth:  5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Adults:  6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Ages 7 and up    $30.00/month

Instructor:  Tim Anderson

 

Tae Kwon Do emphasizes self-control and self-discipline.  It is an excellent way to garner confidence and a positive self-image.  Students routinely excel in the classroom and extracurricular activities because they learn to focus their energy and center their minds.  If you are interested in the martial arts, you are encouraged to attend a class and meet with instructor Tim Anderson prior to registering for the class.
