Sorry due to lack of registrations we have been forced to cancel this years event.

 

Track and Field has always been one of the core events of the Oregon Coast Games. This year we will be expanding event to include children and young adults. Competitors will be grouped into age specific categories to allow participants to compete against people of roughly their own age. The events will vary slightly depending on the age category the athlete falls into.

Youth:
100m, 400m, 800m, baseball throw, long jump, high jump.

Middle School, Open, Jr. Masters, Masters: 100m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 100m hurdles, shot put, discus, long jump, high jump.

Mid-masters & Super Masters:100m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 100m hurdles, shot put, discus, long jump, high jump, 800 power walk, 1500 power walk.

Safety: Due to the dangerous nature of some of the events, parents must monitor young children closely to ensure that they do not stray into the throwing sectors for discus or shot put. Parents also need to insure that their children do not play on or near any of the dangerous equipment and do not enter the storage building.

Day and Time:
8:30am: Open, Masters, Jr. Masters & Super Masters check in.
9:00am: Adult events begin.
12:30pm: Youth, Middle School and High School check in.
1:00pm Youth, Middle School, and High School events start.

Location: Newport High School Track

Awards:
Awards will be presented to the top 3 finishers in each event at the end of the meet.

High School Info: This is not an OSAA sanctioned event. This is just for the fun of competing.

 

 

Fees:
18 and under: $10
Over 18: $20
Entry fee entitles you to take part in 4 events.

Volunteers:
To make this event run, we are in need of a large number of volunteers. No experience is necessary.

How to Register:

Please print the flyer then fill out the registration portion and return it to the Newport Recreation Center.
