Ages 12 and Up.

Competition Starts at 11am

Following the great success of last years competition, the Newport Police Department has teamed up with Newport Parks and Recreation to bring you the 2nd Annual Newport Skate Competition. Festivities will start at 11:00am. Registrations will be accepted on the day of competition as space allows. The best way to guarantee your place in the contest is to pre-register at the Newport Recreation Center. Any registrations on the day of the event must be completed at the Skate Park, prior to 11:00am.

Participants will be judged in two categories:
Timed runs: Skaters will get a 2 minute timed run, they will be judged on style, tricks landed and the usage of the park.
Best trick: Jam session format (everyone skates at once), skaters skate for 10 minutes, best trick wins.

Registration forms available from the Newport Recreation Center or by Clicking here. Pre-Registering ensures your place in the competition. Registrations will be accepted on the day of competition on a first come first served basis.
