Summer Tennis Lessons

Ability Levels
National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP)

Beginner – 0 to 1.5
New to the sport of tennis.

Beginner II – 1.5 to 2.0
Limited previous instruction. Needs improvement of stroke technique and consistency. Practices infrequently.

Advance Beginner – NTRP 2.0 to 2.5
Beginning to develop sound stroke techniques. Can rally ten ground strokes, other than with a pro, somewhat consistently.

Intermediate – NTRP 2.5 to 30+
Ability to hit consistent ground strokes, knowledge of all strokes, understands and executes singles and double positioning and strategy. Good directional control, seldom double faults.

Advanced Intermediate – NTRP 3.5+
Competitive player with advanced tennis and movement skills. Able to serve and volley consistently.

Each session consists of eight, 55-minute lessons. Designed to teach skills and techniques, by age and ability levels, beginning through advanced. Six players per class, adults and juniors. Athletic shoes only

 

Senior Open Court
If your over 60 and love to play tennis, we have good news:
There will be tennis for seniors at the Frank Wade tennis courts from 12:00-2:00 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This will just be an “open court” format for people to just come, play, and have fun.
